Instead of stepping directly from your backyard into the sauna, the integrated changing room creates a more complete wellness experience. Store robes and personal items, prepare for your session, and cool down afterward without immediately returning to the house.

The larger 8' × 17' footprint also makes the Sauna Plus particularly well suited to homeowners building a dedicated outdoor wellness area or incorporating a sauna into a larger pool, spa, or recovery environment.

A Traditional Cedar Sauna Experience

Inside the sauna room, tongue-and-groove cedar covers the walls and ceiling, surrounding the space with the warmth and character associated with traditional sauna bathing.

Sealed wood-tile flooring provides a finished surface underfoot, complemented by 1.5-inch cedar door casing and 3-inch cedar baseboard.

Recessed 6-inch canless LED disk lights provide clean interior illumination in black or white finishes. Available upgrades include dimmable LED accent lighting and a 54-inch ceiling fan.

Standard robe hooks add practical storage within the suite.

Powerful Electric Sauna Heat

At the heart of the Sauna Plus is a HUUM Steel electric sauna heater or equivalent, delivering the high-temperature heat and sauna-stone experience of a traditional sauna.

The Plus configuration can also accommodate an upsized sauna heater, depending on the final floor plan and project requirements.

Final heater specifications are confirmed with the selected configuration.

Engineered From the Ground Up

The Sauna Plus is constructed as a substantial outdoor wellness structure rather than a lightweight prefab sauna cabin.

The floor system begins with pressure-treated solid-wood joists set 24 inches on center. A 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove OSB underlayment is glued and nailed into place, followed by a waterproof sealed floor and integrated drain.

Walls are framed with 2 × 4 lumber and include full sheathing, 7/16-inch exterior OSB, double top plates, and reinforcement blocking where required.

Solid-wood rafters support an OSB roof deck designed to a 30 lb. per square foot live-load standard, with an available upgrade for locations requiring greater snow-load capacity.

Built for Outdoor Living

The Sauna Plus combines insulated construction with a weather-resistant exterior envelope designed for outdoor placement.

Standard construction includes:

• R-13 fiberglass batt insulation in the walls

• R-30 insulation in the ceiling

• R-30 insulation in the floor

• Tyvek house wrap or equivalent weather barrier

• 30# roofing felt

• Ice-and-water shield

• Lifetime architectural asphalt composite shingles

• Clear-sealed cedar decking over an open-frame deck

• Board-and-batten fiber cement siding

Available exterior upgrades may include corrugated or standing-seam metal roofing, standing-seam metal siding, or knotty fineline cedar siding with clear sealer.

Standard stopped-glass window panes bring natural light into the structure, with additional Marvin Essentials and vinyl sliding-glass-door options available where applicable to the selected floor plan.
