A True Backyard Wellness Room

The Sweaty Yeti isn't simply placed outdoors—it is constructed as an outdoor structure.

Its floor system begins with pressure-treated solid-wood joists positioned 24 inches on center, topped with 3/4-inch tongue-and-groove OSB underlayment that is glued and nailed into place. A waterproof sealed floor and drain prepare the space for the heat, moisture, and everyday demands of a dedicated sauna environment.

Walls are framed with 2 × 4 lumber, full sheathing, exterior 7/16-inch OSB, double top plates, and reinforcement blocking where required for installed hardware.

Above, the roof system incorporates an OSB roof deck engineered to a 30 lb. per square foot live-load standard, with an available upgrade for locations requiring greater snow-load capability.

Built for the Elements

Sweaty Yeti combines the warmth of a luxury cedar sauna with an insulated, weather-resistant exterior shell designed for outdoor placement.

Standard construction includes:

• R-13 fiberglass batt insulation in the walls

• R-30 insulation in the ceiling

• R-30 insulation in the floor

• Tyvek house wrap or equivalent weather barrier

• 30# roofing felt and ice-and-water shield

• Lifetime architectural asphalt composite shingles

• Clear-sealed cedar decking over an open-frame deck

• Standard board-and-batten fiber cement siding

Available exterior upgrades may include corrugated or standing-seam metal roofing, standing-seam metal siding, or knotty fineline cedar siding with a clear sealer.

Standard stopped-glass window panes bring natural light into the structure, with additional window and door configurations available depending on the selected floor plan.

Step Inside the Sauna

The interior is designed around one thing: creating a space you'll want to return to.

Tongue-and-groove cedar surrounds the benches, walls, and ceiling, creating the warm appearance and unmistakable atmosphere associated with a traditional cedar sauna. Sealed wood-tile flooring provides a finished surface beneath your feet.

Interior details include 1.5-inch cedar door casing and 3-inch cedar baseboard, along with low-VOC finishes or sealers.

Recessed 6-inch canless LED disk lighting provides clean illumination in black or white finishes. Available upgrades include dimmable LED accent lighting and a 54-inch ceiling fan.

Where the selected configuration incorporates plunge or fitness space, black rubber flooring provides additional grip and comfort.

Powerful Electric Sauna Heat

The sauna is equipped with a HUUM Steel electric sauna heater or equivalent, designed to produce the intense, enveloping heat expected from a traditional sauna experience.

Larger configurations, including applicable Plus models, can be equipped with an upsized heater to accommodate the additional space.

Final heater specifications are confirmed according to the selected Sweaty Yeti configuration.

Plumbing, Electrical & Comfort Systems

Sweaty Yeti's integrated construction allows the sauna to become part of a much broader backyard wellness experience.
