The system is built around a safety valve with a standing pilot and a built-in piezo igniter, so lighting is straightforward and mechanical — no batteries or AC power required for ignition. The millivolt valve generates its own electricity from the pilot flame, keeping the system fully self-contained. The valve is temperature-rated to 225°F, a higher thermal tolerance than standard valves, suited for installations with elevated ambient heat around the burner.

The included VR-1A variable remote and receiver give you smooth, responsive flame adjustment from across the patio or living space.
